SearchWe've started developing Android applications. After I was offered to upgrade my BlackBerry 9300 Curve ( long live BB ) to a HTC One X, it became apparent that we should start developing applications for the platform.
Four days later, and We have Microsoft Vista Home Premium 32bit and Ubuntu 12.04LTS 64bit development machines, along with our own RECENTLY (ie about 30 minutes ago) setup CVS server on-site. Our first test application has been uploaded to my HTC One X, with more testing to be done as yet. That is before we actually put the Apps into Google PlayStore, which I foresee being some time off yet. Of course we will release a few free Apps as well, aimed at the local Hawkesbury market. We look forward to getting your feedback on our Apps. Regards, Richard Rocks 5.4.3 x86_64We have once again dipped our toes into the water with another Rocks cluster, this time in full 64bit.
I started the installation as normal, but changed it from ethernet to wireless lan for public interface for starters. This involved getting the wireless card recogised, connected to WLAN and then making sure firewall let us in. Mobile Clusters - such a thought and no-one seemed to have done it yet with Rocks. Mobile in the sense that they could be deployed awfully quickly, in a disaster scenario for instance. Consider any one of the new mobile phones that act as a mobile wifi hotspot - a Cluster in a Crate© could literally be dropped from a plane with full admin access from a desk in the rear with the gear. Getting access to the CMS login so far has proved beyond us, but time will wear even that down On the user (GUI) side - I have even gotten flash to work - yay for youtube while we wait for appliances to detect and install. It seems some internet idiots thought it a great place to advertise online pharmacies. Comments have been disabled site-wide. |
